Or Lapid (b. 1989) is a visual artist and designer based in London. Her practice revolves around time, light, and color, continuously exploring different ways to capture and translate them into form.
Through observation and search, she transforms everyday moments into painterly gestures—using expressive lines, subjective color, and a sense of saturated flatness to explore the tension between reality and imagination. Her work often navigates dualities such as melancholy and joy, stillness and movement, beauty and distortion, interior and exterior worlds.
Alongside her independent art practice, Lapid has worked as a graphic designer, illustrator, and art director, with experience in editorial and branding design for cultural and commercial clients. She holds a B.Des in Visual Communication from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design and an MFA from the Slade School of Fine Art, UCL. Her work has been exhibited in London and Tel Aviv, and featured in publications including The New York Times and It’s Nice That.
